How the Percentage is Calculated

The percentage is found by dividing the points earned by the total points possible and multiplying by 100: percentage = (earned / total) × 100.

Standard US Letter Grade Scale

  • A: 90% and above
  • B: 80% to 89%
  • C: 70% to 79%
  • D: 60% to 69%
  • F: below 60%
