About Stableford Scoring
Stableford is a golf scoring system where you earn points on each hole based on your net score relative to par. Unlike stroke play, a bad hole simply scores zero points instead of inflating your total, so the highest points total wins.
Standard Points Scale
- 2 or more over par - 0 points
- 1 over par (bogey) - 1 point
- Par - 2 points
- 1 under (birdie) - 3 points
- 2 under (eagle) - 4 points
- 3 under (albatross) - 5 points
- 4 under - 6 points
Formula
- Score vs Par = Net Strokes - Par
- Points = max(0, 2 - (Net Strokes - Par))
